Six friends reunite in London to celebrate the life of their recently deceased ex-employer, a professor that brought them together in 1999 to help build a dating website based on psychological testing. Things didn't go well and they haven't seen each other since. But the night soon becomes a twisted and deadly game when the old friends find themselves held at gunpoint. They must either reveal their darkest secret to the group or pick each other off one by one.
If you love a tense, locked-room mystery, The Wasp Trap is the book to read! Told in present day time with flashbacks to 1999, we learn that in addition to a dating website, the group was also working on a test that will classify individuals as psychopaths. Each of the group has secrets, but is it what the gunmen are looking for? Can they keep their secrets and not threaten each other's lives? As the clock ticks, paranoia and fear ramp up, as does the tension for the reader. I loved the twists and turns and couldn't put this one down!
