Many thanks to NetGalley and Harper Perennial for gifting me a digital ARC of the latest thriller by Claire Douglas. All opinions expressed in this review are my own - 4.5 stars!
Tasha and Aaron live a very different lifestyle than her sister, Alice, does with her husband, Kyle. Alice offers to "life swap" with them, letting Tasha and Aaron stay at their Venice house while Alice and Kyle stay in Bristol with their twin girls. But while Tasha and Aaron are enjoying a romantic night, they get a call that there's been an attack at their home. Later, Tasha finds a note saying, It was supposed to be you.
As you would expect from this author, this was a fast-paced thriller with lots of twists and turns and plenty of people to suspect. Plus, there is a secondary mystery as to what happened to Tasha and Alice's younger sister decades ago. Told from the POV of both Alice and Tasha, with some chapters from their mother and a few other characters, this one had me guessing until the end. Pick this one up!
