6.26.2022 - One of the Girls

One of the Girls by Lucy Clarke

Many thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam/GP Putnam Sons for gifting me a digital ARC of the new drama by Lucy Clarke - 4.5 stars!

Six women arrive at an isolated mansion, owned by one of their aunts, on a Greek island, for a hen party (bachelorette party).  The setting is gorgeous and all of the women are anxious to have a good time, even though the bride-to-be, Lexi, didn't really want a hen party.  The women are all very different and each of them is carrying a secret, one that will have deadly consequences.

Told from the POV of each of the women as well as an unnamed narrator, this is a psychological drama about women's relationships, friendships and the secrets held deep within.  I thought the character progression and tension was perfect and kept me glued to the pages.  The beautiful atmospheric writing and food descriptions added to the escapism that each of the women were looking for and made me want too!  I loved the ending!
