Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for gifting me a digital ARC of the latest psychological thriller by Emily Shiner and including me on the book tour! All opinions expressed in this review are my own - 4.5 stars!
Charlotte is alone with baby Jordan after her husband, Lawrence, died. She's struggling on her own, so when Sophie shows up at her door saying she's Lawrence's sister and there to help, Charlotte is so grateful. But then Charlotte finds Sophie going through her things and is worried about what she will find. She wants her out of the house. But Sophie is not going to go easily without getting what she came for..
Told from the POV of both Charlotte and Sophie, this book will have your head spinning, wondering which unreliable narrator you can trust! We also hear from a third narrator, Her, giving us background information about Lawrence. And Lawrence's behavior will definitely have you thinking that it's a good thing he's dead. You may think you'll know what's going to happen in this one, but you'll be surprised at all the twists and turns. As always, Emily Shiner has written a gripping, tense thriller!
