5.21.2020 - Water's Edge
Many thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Gregg Olsen for the opportunity to read and review book 2 of the Megan Carpenter series - loved it! I would highly recommend reading the first book, Snow Creek, but this book would stand alone as a great police procedure if you choose not to. 4.5 stars rounded up!
Detective Megan Carpenter likes to work by herself, for many reasons. But she is now tasked with mentoring a new rookie detective on rotation, Ronnie, and she is less than thrilled. They are called to the scene of a young woman found dead in a secluded bay. It appears she has been held captive and was beaten brutally. While searching for her identity, Megan discovers a startling similarity to other murders of young women. Meanwhile, someone is sending Megan mysterious messages and appears to be watching her.
This is another fast-paced thriller and I had a hard time putting it down. There is obviously going to be another book in this great series and I can't wait!
