5.14.2020 - The Sunday Girl

The Sunday Girl by Pip Drysdale

Many thanks to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Landmark, and Pip Drysdale for the opportunity to read and review her debut novel - 4.5 stars for a book I couldn't put down!

Taylor is involved with bad boy Angus.  She knows he can be abusive but he's always sorry afterwards.  She knows he does drugs and that makes things worse.  She can't even tell her mom and best friend, Charlotte, all that he does because they already don't like him.  But when they break up and he releases a sex tape online, she is bound for revenge.  Using a copy of The Art of War as motivation, she begins plotting ways to get back at Angus.  But things don't go according to plan and soon Taylor's life is spinning out of her control.

I was spellbound to this book to see how it would all work out for Taylor.  As someone who has been in an abusive relationship, so much was dead on about conflicting feelings and secrecy.  Fabulous debut - can't wait to read more from this author!
