A wealthy Sydney family gathers for Easter at their compound. But soon one of the family members will be dead and another left fighting for her life. Sergeant Mei O’Connor is assigned to investigate the incident and has to fight with her superiors when they want it brought to a quick close.
Go into this one as blind as possible to fully appreciate all the twists and turns. I loved both the strong female main characters and their passion and diligence in doing the right things. There are lots of secrets here, along with gaslighting and deceit, and you won't know who you can trust, and an ending that will truly shock and surprise you. I thought the writing and pacing were perfect, the tension and suspense palpable. Fabulous debut - can't wait to read more from this author!
