6.22.2025 - Don't Let Him In

Don't Let Him In by Lisa Jewell

Many thanks to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster | Atria Books for gifting me a digital ARC of the latest thriller by a favorite, Lisa Jewell.  All opinions expressed in this review are my own - 4.5 stars rounded up!

A very quick synopsis because you need to go into this one as blind as possible.  Nina and her two adult children, Ash and Arlo, are grieving the sudden death of her husband, Paddy.  Ash had been living back at home after a psychological breakdown and is having an especially difficult time when Nina takes up with a new man.  She has doubts about him right away, but can her doubts be trusted?

Lisa Jewell never fails to write a book that I have a hard time putting down, and this was definitely no exception.  Told in short chapters from multiple POVs (watch for the different font styles to keep people straight!), I was so involved with this story.  You'll be rooting for some characters, while despising others.  The plot just keeps getting more and more twisted until the end and I was on pins and needles.  Don't miss this one!
