Rose and Fern are twin sisters who are very close after surviving a difficult childhood with an unstable mother. Fern has sensory issues and Rose has always taken care of her. Plus when they were younger, Fern did something bad and Rose has always kept her secret. When Rose is desperate to have a baby with her husband, Fern decides she can help her sister.
Told in the voices of Fern and through Rose's journal writings, you're better off going into this read with as little of the story as possible. It's full of interesting twists and turns and unreliable narrators. I absolutely adored Fern's quirky character and cheered her on as she grew into her personality. Do not miss this book when it comes out - another winner by Hepworth!
