Patrick had a hit TV show in the past but after losing the love of his life, he escaped to Palm Springs and lived a very solitary life. When his sister-in-law dies and his brother has a health issue, Patrick is charged with taking care of his niece and nephew, Maisie and Grant, for the summer. Suddenly, GUP (Gay Uncle Patrick) has full responsibility of not only keeping the kids alive but helping them navigate their grief while still processing his own.
This book is hilarious - I loved the Guncle Rules! Each of these characters is so real and you will fall in love with all of them. Underneath this book filled with so much heart is a story of grief, love, family and moving forward. Highly recommended!
